Into the Google

Well, It seems my first step into swapping almost entirely into the Google eco-system has begun. I’m changing my long loved Spotify subscription over to Google Play Music. If I’m not happy with the swap, I can always go back. But we’ll see how this one works for me. Until then, Cheers Spotify and thanks for the memories.

To the endless summer before us,

Here I sit, with nothing but wide open fields of experience for the summer. What to do with this time? Should I invest in my furthering education, or perhaps in making money doing my craft? Why not learn a new craft and forge ahead to become the person I intend to be? There is so much ahead of me and I wonder why not embark on this journey to whatever my being desires. These wonderful oddities that seem to be afoot in my life, why not embrace them instead of question them? Why not experience instead of plan and why not drink of these crisp and cool streams instead of bottling for hope of enjoyment later? This is the summer of self discovery and development. The summer where all is laid before me, like a grand feast of knowledge and experience ripe for the taking The summer where the experiences are as numerous as the stars we will count together. To the summer where I become lost in your emerald eyes and your auburn hair. To the summer where we find out whatever we want about each other, for no other reason but to drink of each other’s soul until morning.

So, here’s to the endless freedom of the summer nights and summer love. To those sweltering days where freedom will be found in the crisp cool emerald waters of her soul. The days where all is well within her and all is well around her. To these summer days full of sweet decadent summer love, where not a care is in the world and the lots we place with chance are abandoned for faith that there will be an even better world tomorrow.

To the endless summer before us,

Moving out….

Liberal Arts

I go to a Liberal Arts school that is slowly killing the arts. This is an odd concept for me, and one that I struggle to comprehend. It always leads me to the Winston Churchill. He was asked why he didn’t cut funds for the arts during the War effort, and he responded with “what are we fighting for.” I can guarantee you that there is more to life than knowing. Knowledge is only a small part of existence. The key is not to know, but to learn. Knowledge is power, but learning is how to acquire knowledge. Learning doesn’t only take place in a classroom, but in the world. Why do we try and insist that knowledge only comes from a book?

Just thoughts for tonight.
